Heirloom Tomato Sandwich
Earlier in the summer, we had a chance to catch up with our friend Alice Waters of of Chez Panisse and Café Lulu at the Hammer Museum. An advocate of regenerative agriculture, she was the one who encouraged us to focus on soil health and sustainable farming practices.
At the MAD Conference, we we were fortunate to try their Heirloom Tomato Sandwich, and the ingredients could not be simpler.
Add Purple Basil from this week's box for a twist on visuals and flavor, and don't have time to make aioli? Just use organic mayo with a good sprinkle of organic garlic powder.
Remember, when you have the best ingredients–keep it simple, you don't need to do much.
